A Critique on Politcal Coj Editorial Post

On Wednesday, December 3, 2014 Political Coj wrote about the pressure Obama faces for everything wrong that happens in the United States. Political Coj believes “Obama is not a bad president as most people think”. She describes how Obama main promise of helping with immigration policy. She believes with this that Obama has shown his worth as president and has shown that he will do what he promises.

In this she tells us that it has taken Obama 5 years to accomplished one goal he has set for himself.  Also telling us people have been disappointed before he finally tackled this issue. With this I believe that she is right in that Obama should not be blamed for everything wrong that happens; but I also believe he should be responsible for fixing the severe problems and be judged on how he deals with these issue.

Political Coj gives a great reason why she believes that president Obama is doing what he say and why we should not blame him for everything wrong that happens. I agree with her reason and analysis but I also think that Obama should be doing more and that he should be judge on how he helping sever issues that do occur. Political Coj should give more reasons on why citizen should not be disappointed in our president.

Illegal Immigrants

Illegal immigrants should not have the right to vote because they show bias towards representatives who support there legalization. Illegal immigrants will chose reps that will benefit them as one rather than the nation as a whole. This is harmful to legal residents because those people chosen may not have helpful policy's to benefit residents. Voting can be harmful when people make ignorant choices which negatively affect are society. Knowing that illegal immigrant’s intentions are self-serving we know that letting them vote could be a bad decision. Leading to people in office who is not qualified or there to help the people they will represent.
I acknowledge that illegal immigrants are responsible for helping citizens by cheaper work and paying taxes without receiving benefits or higher pay to support their families. Which leads them to explore the opportunity to vote? When they vote they will vote to help them receive benefits, higher pay and legal residency. These votes can potentially change the lives of American citizens by causing People to lose money from the taxes they provide and spend more for higher labor.

In conclusion allowing illegal immigrants to vote to help themselves become legal and gain more rights is harmful to American citizens. Not only can they make ignorant decision but they can also take money away from them. Sadly we find this harmful because we want representatives how worry about issues that will help will benefit us rather than help the individuals who have illegally come to the United States.

How Medical Care Is Being Corrupted

New York Times The authors intended audience are patients who looking for medical care. To inform them that's doctors are being penalized or rewarded for the treatments that provide. And those insurers are the reason for this corruption that is accruing in the medical field. This article was written By Pamela Hartzband and Jerome Groopman. They are both respected
M.D; Pamela Hartzband is an Assistant Professor at Harvard medical school and Jerome E. Groopman has been a staff writer in medicine and biology for The New Yorker since 1998. He is also the Dina and Raphael Chair of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. They are both credible authors. They claim that medical care is bringing corrupted by insures who penalize or reward doctors for certain treatment plans.

This article shows there point through information given by company's "WellPoint, one of the largest private payers for health care, recently outlined designated treatment pathways for cancer and announced that it would pay physicians an incentive of $350 per month per patient treated on the designated pathway." the belief is that physician Will cause moral licensing” — the physician is able to rationalize forcing or withholding treatment, regardless of clinical judgment or patient preference, as acceptable for the good of the population." I agree with opinion because the information gives no information about people suffering from this but only gives the potential causes for concern I find it hard to take this topic as serious as they have presented it. Congress has also made steps to rectify this situation so in my opinion this is not a strong argument for this issue.

The Prospect of a Republican Senate

Reading this article from  New York Times about “The Prospect of a Republican Senate”, it is clear that this author believes that if   a new power takes over, that it will make Congress even more unproductive. This article shows what this author believes will happen if Republicans take over. So far they believe that once republicans take office they will be unable to take care of the most important acts of Obama’s presidency. This quote shows a glimpse of the author’s feelings towards this issue “It’s not just that they are committed to time-wasting, obstructionist promises like repeal of health care reform, which everyone knows President Obama would veto. The bigger problem is that the party’s leaders have continually proved unable to resist pressure from the radical right, which may very well grow in the next session of Congress.”  The authors attended audiences is democrats that also oppose to Republicans gaining control of the Senate. The event this brings up is a speech Senator Mitch McConnell presented showing weakness by the Republicans. He has no faith he will be able to end Obama care, a statement he will be judged for. This article is very credible because it has been written by the Editorial Board, which is the official bored for the New York Times.  I agree with this opinionated article because republicans have shown a great dislike of Obama care and other acts Obama has put into place. And with Senator Mitch McConnell speech exposing the negative opinions and doubts he has of republicans has caused me to agree with what the editorial board has written.

The article I have chosen is about one of are former president Jimmy Carter, criticizing Obama's foreign policy. He says Obama has waited too long to act in the situation ISIS. He says that because he has waited too long to act they have accumulated more money and weapons. This affects how many people will be needed to solve this issue.  Jimmy Carter has been known to give his opinion when it comes to are presidents. This article is worth reading because it involves are military. Soldiers’ who are fathers, sons, mothers and daughters; going back to war. Knowing this information is important to help family’s prepare for their love one to go off to war. Knowing more about what is going on in military issues gives them time and the tools to deal with it.
